A Strong Belief in the Importance of Hope: Susan Carter MLC

I have two sources of optimism:

  • A strong belief in the importance of hope, which is a great comfort in the darkest of times; and
  • The great example of those whom I am fortunate to meet – who, through their humanity, kindness and respect for others, often in small (but always important) ways, encourage me to be optimistic about our shared future.

That's the inspiring answer of The Honourable Susan Carter MLC to my question, "What makes you Optimistic?"

Susan Carter has an important role in Australian democracy.  Susan is the New South Wales Shadow Assistant Attorney General, Assistant Shadow Special Minister of State, Shadow Assistant Minister for Corrections and a Member of the NSW Legislative Council.
