The Optimism Workshop: Optimism - The How and Why

Optimism is the key ingredient for wellbeing and underpins resilience.

Our Optimism: The How and Why Workshop is designed to help you uncover what makes your team optimistic and how to harness that positivity to achieve success.

Research has shown that optimism plays a crucial role in maintaining good mental health and wellbeing. It can help us cope better with stress, build stronger relationships, and achieve our goals. Optimism is also the underpinning of resilience, allowing us to bounce back from setbacks and keep moving forward.

As a leader, it's essential to create a culture of optimism and resilience within your team. By learning how to deliver positive leadership, develop better strategies, and foster stronger innovation, you can create a more engaged and productive team. And with the Optimism Workshop, you'll learn how to build a braver, more resilient culture that can thrive even in the face of adversity.

So if you're ready to discover the power of optimism for yourself and your team, get in touch with us today. We believe that everyone needs a dose of optimism, and we're here to help you find it.

The Optimism Workshop has run successfully in corporations, NGOs, Government Departments, universities, MBA courses, schools, leadership retreats, prisons,  NGOs, and meditation retreats. We have shared this joy with organisations like CSL, Amadeus, Epworth Health, Deakin University, Victoria University, Australia Post and, World Commerce and Contracting, Rotary, Probus and Dementia Australia.  The numbers have varied from a roundtable of ten to a conference session of 600.

We are very experienced at delivering via online videoconferencing platforms with our preference being Zoom.

Depending on the numbers and what you want, the workshop can take between 40 minutes and all day.

Adding the "My Best Self" Exercise which takes around 15 minutes has been very popular in schools and chambers of commerce.

Meditation is popular too.

Taking home "Optimism: The How and Why" in hardback, paperback or kindle has also proved to create an ongoing benefit.

So too our Gratitude Journal "The Optimist's Gratitude Journal: 100 days to share and develop your gratitude"

Preparation

Everyone finds using our 5-minute survey on "What makes you Optimistic?" a really useful preparation.  We will prepare a report comparing the starting optimism in the room with our global research findings.

Many people enjoy preparing with the "Habits of an Optimist" animated course.  This is often a family affair,

What comes Next?  Continuing the infectious Optimism...

After the program, there's usually a natural or planned grouping of the optimists who continue to meet, develop activities and may become brand ambassadors internally and externally.

Many become members and subscribers to The Centre for Optimism to get updates and a daily dose of optimism.

A useful activity before or after the workshop is to collect answers to the question "What makes you Optimistic?"  The expressions of optimism can be captured for continued inspiration in book form or for multimedia.

There's a micro-credential that is very popular in "The Habits of an Optimist" which features expert content in an amusing animated form.  It takes around an hour for a lifetime of optimism.

Follow Up Sessions on positive communications and media performance may be delivered by communications expert Robert Masters.

We also have a new program called Beacons of Optimism where we work with you to identify and transform self and peer-identified optimists from your ecosystem into brand advocates. Capturing their stories of optimism into engaging case studies and co-creating a communications plan to spread and embed infectiously realistic optimism in your culture to the world.

Some Feedback

"I attended your Optimists in Lockdown Workshop: Optimism the Why and How yesterday and I thought it was fabulous.  I had a meeting directly after your session and the person I spoke with said that I was glowing for that time of the day. I obviously shared that I had just finished the workshop and I loved every minute of it"

"Thank you for making me so optimistic tonight! I was suffering from US road trip fatigue, but who the hell has time to complain about that when there is so much to be optimistic about in this non-lockdown world"
