Follow your gut, persist, and stay optimistic: Chris Crewther

"Never let losses or perceived failures hold you back. Losses can sometimes be blessings in disguise. If you have a dream, and want to make a difference, then never give up, follow your gut, persist, and stay optimistic!"

That's what Chris Crewther told me when I asked him what makes him optimistic.

Chris is the newly elected Member for Mornington in the Parliament of Victoria.

Chris was Head of Strategic Partnerships with the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery.

Chris was also a member of the Australian Parliament and was Chair of the Foreign Affairs and Aid Sub-Committee and the Australian Government’s Home Affairs and Legal Affairs Policy Committee.  Chris led Parliament’s Modern Slavery Inquiry, bringing about Australia’s Modern Slavery Act. For this work, Chris was awarded Anti-Slavery Australia’s Freedom Award and named in the Top 100 Global Corporate Social Responsibility Influence Leaders.
