Now in her eighties, Alix brings a lived experience that is grounded, warm, and deeply practical. In the podcast, she shares the habits that sustain her optimism and energy: daily gratitude, spending time in nature, walking barefoot, and greeting strangers with kindness.
She speaks candidly about the wisdom she has gathered since writing the book, as well as the joy and connection she has found in sharing her message with others.
“Wellbeing is not about being perfect,” she says. “It’s about feeling alive, having fun, and looking forward.”
The episode also revisits some of the timeless lessons from her remarkable parents, who were once recognised as Australia’s oldest couple. Their example—of looking forward with joy and adapting with grace—echoes throughout the conversation.
Whether you are in your fifties, your eighties, or anywhere in between, Alix Bradfield’s gentle clarity and infectious optimism will leave you inspired to live more fully and more joyfully.
