That was the insight shared with joy and laughter by Belinda Coates, GAICD, when I asked her what makes her optimistic! 😊 Belinda is the Founder of Harper B.
What makes you optimistic?
I asked Belinda about the connection between good strategy and optimism.
Belinda told me, “If one is to reach their potential and go beyond what they believe is possible, they must set optimistic targets. Harper B believes in setting a vision that is an 'impossible possible'. Something that is, in fact, impossible, but you believe it to be possible. That's what keeps you getting up each day and striving to do more. Harper B's vision is to "grow the world".
“Would you agree that infectious optimism is a key to 2020s leadership?” I asked next.
Belinda agreed! She said, “Definitely. A balance between optimism and quick thinking. In the face of adversity, the Optimist will seize the Opportunity amidst the rabble and Forge that Pathway quickly before anyone has time to notice."
