The "adaptabilty and flexibility of the optimist is the hallmark of the Ferocious Warmth leader"

Tracey Ezard's New Book "Ferocious Warmth. School Leaders Who Inspire and Transform" is an excellent read!  You may recall Tracey gave us a sneak preview last year!

Join Tracey for this conversation at The Centre for Optimism via Zoom.

What is Ferocious Warmth and why is it a leadership trait that inspires and transforms?  Tracey says when great leaders are in balance, they are both ferocious about the moral purpose and courageously making a stand, while warmly building strong and enduring relationships. This seeming paradox comes together in what Tracey calls Ferocious Warmth. "Leading within the tension of both epitomises the daily dance of leadership.  When you meet a Ferocious Warmth leader, you know it. It is art and science in partnership, a constant flow between the head and the heart and an essential skill for leaders who seek to inspire and transform."

Tracey is a Board member of of the social enterprise The Corner Store Network.  The Corner Store Network, led by Alice Mahar, works with subsistence farmers and villages in Timor Leste. They also run a preserving kitchen both here in  Australia and in Timor Leste. Coffee beans are sent to Melbourne for roasting, with farmers being paid directly and then sold from the roastery. Profits are then put back into the enterprise for further impact on environmental and food preservation work. Women and their families especially benefit from the food preservation work and education programs run by the local Timor Leste Corner Store and headed up by Dina Sequoia.

We are delighted that Alice will join us for this hour of optimism when we need it most.
