# Joseph Zidle Advises You to Choose Optimism

<https://www.centreforoptimism.com/blog/zidle>

"Choose Optimism"

Sage advice from Joseph Zidle, Blackstone's Chief Investment Strategist in "Choose Optimism: The Connection"

Joseph says, "In the long run, it pays to be a market optimist."

"Despite all the uncertainty, optimists tend to live better lives, live longer, and—let's face it—are probably more fun to be around. But optimism isn't just good for your life; it's good for your portfolio, too."

Joseph's advice accords with [The Optimism Principle](https://www.centreforoptimism.com/blog/theoptimismprinciple?hsLang=en) - **The answer to life's most pressing questions is optimism. **

It is also true to the science of The Optimism Effect, which proves that optimism—particularly producer optimism—directly influences investment formation, improving innovation and productivity and driving economic growth. In other words, optimism is the comparative advantage for companies and countries.
