You bet we do. Are we, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, pessimistic about it? Not on your life. In fact, we are optimistic."* Suzanne Clark, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce offers a much-needed beacon of optimism in a world often overshadowed by a narrative of doom and pessimism. Her address at the 2024 State of American Business event painted a forward-looking and optimistic picture of American business and the broader economy. #### Defending the Spirit of Entrepreneurship Clark's speech robustly defended the free enterprise system, portraying it as a crucial driver of human progress and innovation.
