"What makes me optimistic is when I know I've been of service to others, where I have seen their eyes light up, that moment where they get it, and they can see whatever the issue, point, skill, knowledge, whatever that insight is, has made sense for them. And it's gone to a cellular level."

That's what Sally Foley-Lewis told Victor Perton when he asked her "What makes you Optimistic?"

Sally went on to say, "So that's what makes me optimistic.

"Secondly, when listening to people and finding the way forward with them, they find positivity amidst whatever's going wrong in their world.

"So it's not about avoiding fear, and it's not about avoiding a problem and trying to be Pollyanna about it. It's actually despite what's going on; we can still get through this. We can still find a path. And that makes me optimistic as well.

"And I think that's something that has been instilled in me for a very long time because I find I tend to be a little bit like that as well. If I'm listening to all the negativity or if I'm listening to a problem, I'll very quickly move to, "So what are we going to do about it?"

"So that's what makes me optimistic."
