"Let's look to the future with hope and optimism."

So said UK PM Rishi Sunak hailing the coronation of King Charles.

He said, "Let's celebrate this weekend with pride in who we are and what we stand for. Let's look to the future with hope and optimism. And let's make new memories, so we can tell our grandchildren of the day we came together to sing: God Save The King."

The Coronation Emblem was a Symbol of Optimism

The official emblem of the Coronation of the United Kingdom's King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla "speaks to the happy optimism of spring and celebrates the beginning of this new Carolean era for the United Kingdom. The gentle modesty of these natural forms combine to define an emblem that acknowledges both the joyful and profound importance of this occasion.”

So said the designer Sir Jony Ive KBE.

The emblem pays tribute to The King’s love of the natural world, unifying the flora of the four nations of the United Kingdom; the rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of Wales and the shamrock of Northern Ireland.

Reminds us of our Spring into Optimism Festival in Armidale in 2022.
