April Chepovskygold told me.  "This is why this makes me optimistic. I met my cousin in London who is the violinist in this piece and now considered one of the top in his age group in the world. This reunification was 100 years after our great grandfathers parted ways in the Ukraine. My family that remained behind in the Ukraine faced antisemitism, discrimination, the Holocaust , impoverishment and relocation to Latvia having been saved by the Russian army during World War II. The piece that Jevgenijs Cepoveckis plays and the way he plays it speaks of the incredible resilience, courage and optimism of the present and the future about himself and our family."
