Leger’s 2025 Worldview Survey asked 35,000 people in 40 countries if they agree with the statement: “I am optimistic about living a long and healthy life.”
🟢 The global average? 46%.
🌏 Australia? Slightly more optimistic at 47%, above average, yet far behind the most optimistic countries. The USA? 51%

With Thailand topping the global long life optimism poll at 83%, it is no surprise I felt a wave of joy and hope walking the streets of Bangkok last week.
Why does this matter?
Science shows that optimism is the trait most closely associated with healthy longevity.

✅ Optimists tend to sleep better, cope better, and build stronger relationships.
