Every day I Wake Up and Turn to see my Soul Mate: Klaus Bartosch
"What makes me optimistic? Every day I wake up (always a good day when that happens!), and turn to see my soul mate, my best friend, my wife of almost three decades laying next to me. I pinch myself."
That's what Klaus Bartosch, CEO & Founder of Dreamoro, told me when I asked him what makes him optimistic.
Klaus told me, "What makes me optimistic? Every day I wake up (always a good day when that happens!), and turn to see my soul mate, my best friend, my wife of almost three decades, lying next to me. I pinch myself.
"I’ve reflected greatly on my career these past 45 years: All the ups and the terrible downs and narcissists I have met along the way.
"These days, I see the world with clarity and simplicity.
I’ve had the pleasure of building a business and the most amazing team these past 11 years, including listing the company on the ASX. I can’t say it was a success for shareholders, which is very disappointing. Still, I can see the amazing achievements delivered for the thousands of customers that joined and I am incredibly proud of the amazing team that we built.
"I’ve now started my second new business, Dreamoro, together with some of the leadership I’ve worked with of the past few years with a vision to bring to tech founders the decades of experiences we all have and to help them avoid the pitfalls and many challenges that I know they will face. Importantly, helping to bring to market products that have a positive impact on our community, people’s lives and the planet. Helping founders bring their dreams to life. How can I not be excited and optimistic about that!!!"
What makes you optimistic?
I asked Klaus about the positive leaders and bosses who have inspired him.
Klaus named "Peter Draney, who founded Aspect Computing, whom I worked with in the late ’90s, who was blunt, honest and worked to the “no dickheads, no bullshit policy”.
"Peter Blunden, whom I worked with in the late 80s, demonstrated how being a true gentleman with strong values and ethical standards could win the hearts and minds of all those around him.
