Gerd Leonhard is a Futurist and Mathias runs Warp News.
Mathias describes himself as "a fact-based #optimist. I'm sure you can be born as an optimist and have it in your DNA. I look at facts of the world and how the world is progressing and, and have been progressing for a hundred thousand years and especially in the last few hundred years, and especially in the last few decades, we've made enormous gains."
Gerd refers to Gramsci's slogan "Pessimism of the intellect, optimism of the will" and replies, "to which I say optimism of the #heart, not losing #faith and that this is possible."
That reminds me of Caroline Ward's "optimism of the heart."
