“Optimism for me is when one has a sense of real purpose in life, and being driven by that sole purpose to do good on this God-given Planet Earth, either for economic growth, environmental stewardship or overall societal wellbeing.”

That's what the realistic optimist, Elina Jani, told Victor Perton when he asked what makes her optimistic.

Elina is the CEO of the GreenTech Ideaslab.

On her LinkedIn profile, Elina describes herself as "a simple, cheerful, optimistic and highly self-motivated person."

Victor asked Elina, "What makes you feel optimistic?"

Elina told Victor, "Internally, the feeling of optimism stems from my own cognitive style where I tend to focus on positive outlook on situations, always looking at opportunities for learning and growth. Besides that, the feeling of optimism for me also comes from my own internal resilience, constantly driven to bounce back after setbacks and challenges, looking for potential positive outcomes."

Positive leadership?  Victor asked Elina about the positive leaders in her life.

Elina told Victor, "The positive leaders in my life have always been my own parents. They have been pivotal in shaping the structure of my thought process, while at the same time providing me the foundation to build my own resilience.  Both my parents have always been my "inner voices", pushing me to have purpose and vision, thus ultimately my drive to achieve success at greater heights."
