"What makes me optimistic? Our imagination immediately springs to mind: Limitless, inspiring and mobilizing. Unfortunately, many forces work against our ability to imagine and re-imagine. Our systems promote zero-sum games for short-term wins and social media reward behaviors that devalue us all. However, the long-term trend is the convergence of mutually accelerating streams within the arts, games, business, technology, science, and more. In this flow, we will benefit from the power of imagination on a new level. I imagine this makes me a zoom-out optimist."
