The Optimism Workshop

The Optimism Workshop has run successfully in corporations, NGOs, Government Departments , universities, MBA courses, schools, leadership retreats, prison,  NGOs, and meditation retreats. The numbers have varied from a roundtable of ten to a keynote opening for conference gathering of 600.  We are very experienced at delivering via on-line videoconferencing platforms with our preference being Zoom (see some of our online panels to get an idea).

​Depending on the numbers, the workshop can take between 40 minutes and two hours.

What comes Next?  Continuing the infectious Optimism...

After the program, there's usually a natural or planned grouping of the optimists who continue to meet, develop activities and may become brand ambassadors internally and externally.  Many become members and subscribers to The Centre for Optimism to get updates and the whatsapp daily dose of optimism.

A useful activity before or after the workshop is to collect answers to the question "What makes you Optimistic?"  The expressions of optimism can be captured for continued inspiration in book form or for multimedia.

There's a micro credential which is very popular: "The Habits of an Optimist" features expert content in an amusing animated form.  It takes around an hour for a life-time of optimism.

Follow Up Sessions on positive communications and media performance may be delivered by communications expert Robert Masters. 

We also have a new program called Beacons of Optimism where we work with you to identify and transform self and peer identified optimists from your ecosystem into brand advocates. Capturing their stories of optimism into engaging case studies and co-creating a communications plan to spread and embed infectiously realistic optimism in your culture to the world. 

There are also optimism workshops for optimistic leadership, strategy and innovation.

We recommend every 3 months, executive and team meetings start with the question, "What makes you Optimistic?

We recommend a follow-up Workshop every 6-12 months.


Delivered via Zoom during the CoronaVirus states of emergency, the cost for the workshop is $2000 for corporations, $1000 for government departments, $100 for small businesses, $200 for schools and community groups and free for those who need it free.  As we emerge from lockdown, the fees will be similar for face-to-face delivery with travel costs in addition.
